Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Project Manager to oversee a critical legacy SCM (Software Configuration Management) migration and mainframe DevOps transformation project. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and proven experience managing complex technical projects in mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end legacy SCM migration project, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide clear updates to executive leadership
- Manage project resources, timelines, and deliverables for mainframe DevOps implementation
- Ensure proper documentation of all project phases, requirements, and outcomes
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality standards
- Foster collaboration between technical teams and business units
- Implement best practices for mainframe DevOps processes and tools
Required Qualifications
- Location: Remote from India
- Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, preferably with mainframe systems or DevOps projects
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mainframe environments and software configuration management systems
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mainframe DevOps tools and methodologies
- Previous experience managing legacy SCM migration projects
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Experience working in consulting or professional services environments
- Understanding of mainframe programming languages (COBOL, JCL, etc.)
Work Arrangement
- Part-time position (approximately 20-30 hours per week)
- Remote work with occasional travel as needed
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate project milestones and team meetings
- Must be available during standard Singapore business hours for key meetings and deliverables
